ED Management Strategies for Daily Practice:
A Clinician’s Guide to Optimizing Patient Outcomes

ED is a common medical condition with a multifactorial nature, resulting from organic issues, psychological issues, or a combination of the two. Erectile function may be affected by several factors, including vascular, neurogenic, hormonal, and psychosocial issues. ED is continually underdiagnosed and undertreated and may significantly impact a man’s overall physical and emotional well-being. ED is increasingly recognized as a vascular condition that may indicate serious underlying or associated medical problems that may contribute to cardiovascular risk. This educational activity is intended to provide primary care clinicians and other healthcare professionals with a comprehensive overview of and practical strategies for managing ED in daily practice. Topics that will be explored include approaches to patient assessment and treatment issues, particularly, optimizing therapeutic response.

This educational activity is approved for a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.  It is available for credit through December 19, 2008.
